Emmett directed Wash Me in the River from a screenplay by Adam Taylor Barker and Chris Sivertson. The film tells the story of a recovering opioid addict who, with two cops hot on his trail, is seeking revenge on the dealers responsible for selling the drugs that resulted in his fiancé's death. The film's cast includes Robert DeNiro and Little Woman star Willa Fitzgerald and rapper Quavo in his debut role.
This will be Emmett's second feature as a director, following the (still-unreleased) Midnight in the Switchgrass starring Bruce Willis, Megan Fox, and Emile Hirsch. Emmett is best known as a producer, of such films as Martin Scorcese's The Irishman (2019) and the Baltasar Kormákur-directed Everest (2015).
