Nadia Melliti from France received the best actress award at the Cannes film festival on Saturday for her debut performance in the film “The Little Sister” directed by Hafsia Herzi.

At 23, Melliti portrays a 17-year-old in a coming-of-age story about a teenage Muslim girl in Paris who grapples with her identity and religion as she discovers her homosexuality.

She surpassed Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence in “Die My Love” by Lynne Ramsay, Japanese child prodigy Yui Suzuki in “Renoir” by Chie Hayakawa, and Elle Fanning in “Sentimental Value” by Joachim Trier.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be here tonight and to have been part of this wonderful project,” she expressed while holding her award on stage.

“I’m overwhelmed with emotions right now. It’s indescribable but truly amazing,” she remarked as the director wept in the audience.

“Thank you, Mum. I know you’re watching and I hope you are very proud and happy,” she added.

This game transforms the precision of the bow into a study of unpredictable, fluid motion. The inherent charm of Ragdoll Archers unblocked lies in its humorous, physics-driven lack of grace.
