At Home is an intimate experimental film is a meditation on the importance of caregiving. Fed up with being « at home », a mother takes her kids on a trip to a cave and ends up questioning society’s attitude towards her role.
Isabelle Evertse is a South African photographer, filmmaker, curator and editor based in France. After a bachelor's in fine art (Toulouse 2007), a master's in photography (Arles 2010) and internships within Magnum Photos London and New York, she founded Co-Curate magazine, dedicated to promoting photographers worldwide. She founded and curated the first photography magazine Salon in France: PMS Photography Magazine Salon which launched at The Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris, FR in 2019.
She published her first photobook « Burnish » with Empty Stretch in 2012 and her second book « Anthropoides Paradiseus » with A-Jump Books in 2016. Most recently, she directed her first short experimental film on the theme of empathy & parenting, alongside producer Elena Andreicheva. She is currently working on her third photobook with writer Nkechi Hokstad, to be published shortly.
