Monarch Sombrero

Monarch Sombrero is Lisa Murray's first animated film. The project is a hand made, stop-motion, paper cut-out animation about saving the monarch butterflies.
The entire short is handmade using stop-motion techniques with hand-painted backgrounds and paper cut-out puppets. Lisa is dedicated to the preservation of wildlife and plans to continue a series of animated shorts exploring this subject.

It’s inspiring to see an artist combine creative expression with environmental advocacy. Like building something thoughtfully in Veck IO, every frame in stop-motion requires patience, intention, and careful craftsmanship.
